Figma Community – Shared Design Projects and Templates
History: Launched after Figma itself (founded in 2012), the Community became a central hub for designers to share and discover resources, accelerating its adoption as a collaborative design tool.
Functionality: A platform where users can publish and access free design files, including UI kits, icon sets, wireframe templates, and plugins. This allows designers to build upon each other’s work, ensuring consistency and saving time.
Future Plans: As part of Figma (now under Adobe), the focus is on growing the ecosystem, improving discovery of high-quality assets, and fostering a stronger community for feedback and collaboration.
